The Moscow State Opera, the company who were so well received with their Carmen at The Bord Gais Energy Theatre in March 2013, are presenting a traditional production of Madama Butterfly at the same theatre, April 22nd to 26th 2015.

It will feature Ireland’s best-known International Soprano, Celine Byrne, and a star soloist from The Bolshoi Opera, Anna Nechaeva, in the leading role of Cio-Cio San.

The performance will be in Italian with English surtitles and should be one of the highlights of 2015!

This will be a new production, although traditional, under the guidance of Russia’s number one Artistic Director George Isaakyan, and the soloists and chorus will be accompanied by the orchestra of The Moscow State Opera conducted by Lady conductor Alevtina Loffe.
