Swan Lake

La Traviata

In March 2012, the Russian State Ballet, led by Nina Kaptsova, the captivating star of The Bolshoi, and joined for the first time by Evgeny Ivenchenko, the Premier Dancer of The Mariinsky Ballet and Honoured Artist of Russia, made a triumphant return to the Grand Canal Theatre to perform its acclaimed productions of ‘Cinderella’ and all-time favourite, ‘Swan Lake’. For five nights, the dancers were accompanied by The RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, playing the most beautiful music from Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev.

Having dazzled audiences during the opening run of the magnificent Grand Canal Theatre in March 2010 with its spectacular production of Swan Lake, The Russian State Ballet returned to Dublin in March 2011 with Swan Lake and Giselle. Due to overwhelming demand for tickets, extra shows were staged, an unprecedented result for ballet in Ireland. With some of the worlds finest dancers, dazzling costumes and sumptuous sets and scenery, these shows were a truly unforgettable experience for all the family.
